John Bankowski, O.D. comes with over 29 years of experience practicing at America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses offices in multiple states and practices affiliated with the National Vision Doctor of Optometry network. He holds optometry licenses in more than 20 states and currently splits his time in Washington, D.C., and Orlando, Florida. Dr. Bankowski holds the title of President for Doctor’s Exchanges in Alabama, Georgia and Indiana, as well as Fifth State Vision Care, P.C. and Buckeye State Optometry Associates, P.C.

Dr. Bankowski received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Psychology from the University of Maryland before receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Optics and Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Beyond his role as President for multiple independent practices within the National Vision Doctor of Optometry network, Dr. Bankowski also serves as Senior Director of Clinical Education and Technology, and oversees the Clinical Advisory Panel for National Vision, Inc.

Outside of the exam lane, Dr. Bankowski enjoys days with his family and chocolate Labrador. He also spends weekends and time off being active, often skiing or scuba diving.
