National Vision Recognized as One of America’s Most Responsible Companies by Newsweek

National Vision is proud to announce its inclusion, for the third year in a row, in Newsweek’s 2025 list of Most Responsible Companies in America. Being named to this list reflects our deep-rooted belief that corporate success and social responsibility go hand in hand.
Newsweek’s selection process evaluates companies based on three key pillars: environmental sustainability, social impact and corporate governance, alongside an assessment of their reputation for responsibility.
More than 10 million lives were impacted by National Vision’s business operations and philanthropic efforts in 2023. We take seriously our responsibility to those who depend on us. As CEO Reade Fahs says in the introduction of our most recent sustainability report, “The beautiful thing about our business is that it works as a series of ‘virtuous cycles’ that serve to both fuel and build on one another — all designed around making better vision more affordable and accessible to all those in need.”
From launching programs that reduce waste to supporting underserved communities with vision care services, our actions underscore our mission of helping people see their best to live their best. Here are a few we’re most proud of:
- National Vision and its nonprofit foundation, 20/20 Quest, donated more than 4.1 million to charitable efforts around the world.
- We’re leveraging the scale of our impact to increase access to quality vision care at affordable prices for more people, such as enhancing the efficiency of our labs to promote sustainability, quality and safety while protecting lower operating costs.
- We’re pushing forward with technology that expands access to care, including funding exploration into AI-assisted efforts that could change the way serious underlying health conditions can be identified during eye exams.
