    Safely and Gradually Re-Opening Our Stores

    Beginning April 27th, we will be gradually re-opening our retail locations to the public with enhanced safety protocols and focus on meeting the essential, urgent and emergency eye care and eyewear needs of patients and customers. We plan to open stores selectively over the coming weeks, with a goal of all stores within our family of retail brand to be open to the public by early June.

    A Message from Our CEO Reade Fahs:

    “As we continue to navigate this unprecedented pandemic, we are monitoring the recommendations of public health and government agencies. Our priority has been, and continues to be, the safety of our associates, optometrists, patients and customers. During the temporary closure of our stores, we have heard from our customers and patients that they need the critical eye care services we offer. We have developed a phased approach to re-opening our stores to the public that we believe is not only safe and responsible, but also will allow us to continue serving those that need our eye care services the most during this time of lack of access.”

    Keeping People Safe

    The safety of our associates, optometrists, customers and patients is a priority. As we re-open our stores to the public, we are implementing enhanced health and safety policies and procedures that align with recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the American Optometric Association as well as federal and state guidance on social distancing, cleaning procedures, use of personal protective equipment and other safety measures. We have also implemented expanded health and safety training and procedures for all stores and optometrists practicing in our retail locations.

    Continuing to Help Those with Vision Care Needs

    In most stores that remain closed, we do have Associates that are available via telephone from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to help patients and customers with their eye care and eyewear needs.

    Caring for Our Communities

    Giving back is core to who we are at National Vision. Especially in the midst of a pandemic where so many in need, we are committed to doing what we can to care for our team members and our communities.

    We are proud to have donated 40,000 masks (9,000 N95 masks and 31,000 surgical masks) to the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency (GEMA) to help healthcare workers on the front lines combatting the COVID-19 pandemic. Read more about the donation here.

    We have also established the National Vision Crisis Relief Fund to help Associates and their families that may be experiencing hardship or be in need of financial assistance.
